I was born and raised in Rexburg, Idaho. Growing up I shadowed my mother as she created beautiful and unique wedding cakes, which nurtured my love for weddings. As a teenager I was involved in band leadership for 3 years and was a state soloist. I had the opportunity to be featured in the Fresh Ink column of The Standard Journal while in high school as well.
Post-high school I started school at Brigham Young University-Idaho as a music major. After one semester I volunteered 18 months as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Scotland and Ireland. During my break from university studies, I decided to change my direction and pursue my childhood dream to plan weddings.
Now as a student at BYU-Idaho, I am studying Communications, emphasizing Public Relations with a module in Visual Communications. My goal is to develop a variety of skills and knowledge base to be an effective counsellor with brides and grooms to plan their perfect day.
